Holy Cow: India!

I’ve been moving through India for a week now, and it’s an experience that’s hard to put into words. India is a land of contrasts, richly different from anywhere else.

While the exploration is endlessly captivating, there are moments that bring a mix of emotions… the constant hum of honking, the vibrant yet chaotic rhythm of the roads, the occasional scent that lingers in the air, and scenes of people, including children, navigating the challenges of everyday life. It’s a stark reminder of the socioeconomic realities that exist.

And yet, there is so much beauty. An extraordinary sense of history, with remarkable constructions dating back centuries. Animals, camels, elephants, sacred cows, dogs, monkeys, all moving through the same streets. Bright colours, spices in the air, incredible food, and above all, encounters with warm and gracious people.

Hospitality often comes in the form of a simple cup of tea, a small gesture that says so much.

After exploring the Golden Triangle, Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra, I’m now on my way to Kathmandu, Nepal.

An Asian Journey

Adventure and spirit seem to hang in the air, and I feel pulled to India to follow a question that’s been with me for years: who am I, really?

I picture myself at the southernmost edge, where three seas meet, just standing there for a while. Letting the wind, the salt, the horizon remind me how big the world is, and how small I am in it.

I’m drawn to the quieter places too, where the roads start to disappear and things slow down. It feels like that’s where the answers might be, or at least where I can hear myself think.

And it doesn’t stop there. Nepal, Tibet, Sri Lanka. Different landscapes, same pull to keep going, to keep learning, to figure things out as I go.
