Bonjour!

Once upon a travel, in the back of an internet café somewhere in Asia, I was racing the clock to type a few lines home before my minutes ran out. A fellow backpacker leaned over and said, “Why not start a blog?”

So here we are.

This space isn’t about perfect itineraries or bucket lists. It’s about the messy, funny, beautiful bits of travel: wrong buses, right sunsets, shared meals, and the lessons tucked into all of it. This blog is my open diary—fragments of adventures, confessions, and snapshots from the road.

I believe travel is not only about places, but about the stories that unfold within them—the ones we live, the ones we share, and the ones that connect us. This diary is my way of adding to that circle.

If you’re here, welcome. I hope these stories spark your own sense of wonder, wherever you are, and invite you to live a little more footloose along the way.

  1. Hey there!

My name is KC Owens; I’m a college student who loves to travel! While cruising the Internet, I found Footloose Diary and really enjoyed reading your posts. Personally, I think traveling is a necessary part of life as you’re exposed to all sorts of new cultures and experiences. While enjoying time abroad, I’ve found it’s crucial to fully understand the dangers that you might encounter along the way. These mishaps are part of life and certainly part of travel but it’s always a great idea to take preventive measures to help ensure your safety while abroad.

I was hoping that you would allow me to write a post for your site to share my travel safety tips with your readers? I put a lot of time and passion into my traveling and I would love to help others by offering safety advice as a result of the mistakes and triumphs I’ve had. I look forward to hearing from you!

    Best,

    KC Owens
